Energy Medicine and Energy Fields

Acupuncture as effective energy medicine

Yes, absolutely.
I definitely see Acupuncture as an energy medicine. I view it as needles placed on the topography of the body in exact locations (meridian points) to help re-calibrate someone's state of health and well being. Each individual has there own resonance known as there signature and the placement of the needles allows the body, if it chooses, to find its personal resonance again through the vibration and re-calibration that can occur if the diagnosis is correct.

What conclusions can you draw from Kirlian photography

I find the whole field of Kirlian photography fascinating. Maybe because I can often feel peoples fields but do not perceive them in colors. I would like to know if what I am feeling from someone's body with my hands as a healer correlate's with the colors that arise through the photography. This would have to be set up as an experiment-it would be a fun and interesting lab project.

I also was fascinated by the Soviets use of the photography for Athlete's to detect when they are at there optimum performance level?! I wonder how they do that and what colors they are looking for and where on the body?!
I think that western science seems to fear this technique because there is a lot of effort to disregard it as a new age technique. But to me its obvious that we are made of electro magnetic fields and we would emit some type of field from our bodies-I am excited to see my colors. But realize I am in most stressful semester yet-5, and will probably do it again once the term is up and I return from my holiday inBelize to see the contrast.

Human intent as it effects health

I think having the right intention when working on a patient and the patient having good healthy intent of healing themselves, definitely influence some of the healing process.

When a Doctor believes in there work studies have shown that there work is strong and has good results. A patient needs to also have faith in the practitioner. If the patient does not trust the doctor's skills there health could suffer.

I also feel that a Doctor could also not need intention and the practice of giving and administering Medicine can be the salve and good intent in itself.

It makes me think of that Japanese Doctor who did prayer on water. then viewed the water with different intentions. Beautiful, positive intentions created gorgeous crystalline patterns; anger, hate etc... created very distorted patterns. I see it the same with the body. We are energetic and are always merging and separating from everything we interface with. With this in mind if we have positive, healing, loving intent this will be felt, transmitted and received. It can only improve the health of the patients field/ signature.

Life and Living Systems

(Woops! I just answered the discussion in class questions, instead of homework questions-well, I will leave it because it is applicable and I like the randomness of it!)

Can we propose a definition for "living system"?

Sure we can propose one but I believe we are still trying to figure out what it all means?
Recently, I learned that a transplanted heart can be kept, ALIVE, by an oxygen supply, nutrients and blood while in transport to a heart transplant patient. This idea that the heart is beating fascinated and confused me. Is it alive still out side of its original body? It is hard to define sometimes as our technology makes possible thing that would not be found in nature?! i.e. a bear does not put a heart in a box with a separate technological external living apparatus. So... well, I guess we can try define a "living system" but it will inevitably be irrelevant in near the future. Our technology is harvesting and creating new tissue from stem cells etc... it is living once harvested and applied to another living organism? I think we must re shape and bring in ethics to these poor new introduced living organisms, that I would call freaks of nature.

Just how tenuous is our existence?

I think humanity is destroying the natural order on earth-We are a very stupid species-despite our brilliance because we disregard the inter connectedness of us/ humans, to all!
Our existence and the existence of all mammals is very tenuous. Maybe that is the natural order? Maybe certain insects i.e. roaches that are highly adaptable can be the new 'imperial species'. I do think we have tipped the pendulum and we can change things towards more balance but it would take a greater field of consciousness to reign over the masses..... its a possiblity as well but I am not holding my breathe.

Towards a new synthesis

My E-Prime day

I primarily speak and write in E-Prime format. Maybe it is because being overly pedantic is boring and wordy to me-maybe its because I am slavic and english is not my first language-in serbo-croatian it too is a E-Prime culture/ and when I transcribe in my brain it comes out this way? I am not sure but what I do know is that I like to get to the point. Only in poetry and analytical essays do I find the style interesting. Although I can get flowery with my nature metaphors.... who knows? It depends on my mood!

Can I synthesize East/ West?

I daily synthesize East/ West in my work as a healer. Sometimes taking from western physiology or sometimes explaining ideas in Taoist metaphors. I try my best to bridge the worlds. My studies of TCM at AIMC try to integrate these worlds. It is a daily practice much like any practice it must be applied.

Classical Physics

Newton's three laws and me

LAW ONE- When I throw a ball I can somewhat understand the theory of constant velocity-although it can appear to move at different rates. But it could just be the angles I see it moving at.

LAW TWO-Makes perfect sense again applying the throwing of a ball. The acceleration is directly proportional to the force/ air and mass/ size of the ball. Okay, I agree-totally!

LAW THREE- Yes, If two balls of same size and mass collided there force is the same at impact-okay that makes sense as well. Because you apply law two-I think to this theory....

Okay, not bad...whats next a curve ball?

Our "Energy Efficient" Culture

If applying The first law of thermodynamics to this question it appears that yes, we are extremely 'energy efficient'. Law one- Energy is conserved-the total energy content oft he universe shall remain constant; never being created or destroyed, but only transformed from one form to another.

Descartes has a lot to answer for!
Descartes,"advocated a mathematical description of the natural phenomena and the use of analytic thought to study nature".
It was a limited reductionist view that seemed to be invented during the renaissance. It was a period when man decided to no longer be a part of nature and have dominion over it. A very popular approach and catchy for centuries to follow. But this desparant separation of our natural relationship to all living things and our apparent relationship to quantum physics/ and chos theory of today make his theories out-dated. But I must thank him for changing humanities perception-it oviously came to pass for a reason.

Cool experiments

I liked playing with my spoon-literally!!! tee, hee.....seeing how my face mirrored back changes with a concave/ convex shaped mirror-way fun!
The knife was okay and the fork-well I must have cheap flatware-not a a good resonance.

Chaos Theory

"Ordered chaos"-sound familiar?

Yes, "The particular type of 'ordered ' chaos referred to in chaos theory is a dynamic phenomenon, occurring when the state of a system, defined by available or a set of variables, changes with time." The article refers to this theory in fractal patterns. But when I think of it I think about life. Just plan living and how random exchanges between individuals or experiences change the course and decisions of ones life's path. We can see this happen because as souls embodied we change with time physiologically and hopefully spiritually.
"Unacceptable as it may be to reductionists, mystical themes of wholeness are central to chaos theory."

Fractals as patterns as complex systems

"Unacceptable as it may be to reductionists, mystical themes of wholeness are central to chaos theory."
I decide to continue where I left off with the last question-and it is an example itself of how the last question influenced and changed my thoughts for this answer....
Okay, fractals are beautiful. They are patterns of complex systems within a contained random computer sequence. But no less complex in there design and randomness.

Consciousness out of Chaos

Karl Popper, "suggested that consciousness was a manifestation of some kind of overarching force field in the brain that could integrate the diverse information held in distributed neurones..." these neurones can and do fire information from within the field of the body and I believe outside the field of the body. Since we are electromagnetic beings we cannot separate fully from the eletromagnetic world we live in. I think as the sages, say there is a greater consciousness that we also tap into, known as the greater unconscious, but I think of it more as the greater consciousness. we all play in influence this field because we literally charge it.
